Senior Social Media + Paid Digital Specialist
Position Summary:
The Red Thinking Senior Social Media + Paid Digital Specialist is a strategically-minded individual who will work directly with the organic social and paid digital teams to develop and implement all initiatives, including but not limited to: organic social media content curation, paid social, paid audio advertising, Google Display, PPC, strategy development, overall analytics/reporting and more. This includes organic social media writing when necessary, and overseeing other content writers for assigned clients. The Senior Social Media + Paid Digital Specialist works closely with the Vice President on all digital strategic efforts and plans; from conceptualization, to development, execution and evaluation on a regular basis of all strategies in motion for our clients. They also collaborate constantly with the Senior Website + SEO Specialist to ensure that any necessary overlap for all social media and paid accounts is happening in a strategic and thoughtful manner.
A top-notch Senior Social Media + Paid Digital Specialist should know how to promote a brand based on the latest digital tools, trends, as well as what would suit the atmosphere of the brand and its industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play the lead on the development, delivery, and execution of organic social media + paid digital marketing and/or communication campaigns.
- Ensure overall quality control across all organic social media + paid digital campaigns, some in which you play the lead. Others in which you oversee the strategy and manage the execution with a team in place.
- Oversee timeliness, accuracy of deliverables, and keep a strong pulse on budgets (scope vs. actuals).
- Work closely with the Vice President and Paid Search & Digital Strategist to design and implement paid test plans (A/B and multivariate) to optimize user experience and engagement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including designers, developers, account executives, and content writers to thoughtfully execute digital marketing efforts on behalf of clients.
- Maintain detailed channel documentation including processes, project requirements, campaign calendars, and forms that are utilized for day-to-day campaign management as well as audit exercises.
- Continuously explore opportunities to improve processes and controls to ensure adherence to all relevant Red Thinking client business practices and policies, mitigating potential pitfalls.
- Oversee organic social + paid digital client monthly performance reports; working with the digital team to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Expert ability to synthesize and interpret data and translate into actionable data-backed recommendations that demonstrate a deep understanding of the brands’ goals, target audiences, category trends/opportunities, and industry pressures/threats.
- Senior level knowledge of best practices, as well as foundational strategic frameworks such as purchase funnel, feasibility matrices, tracking and reporting.
- Participate in and lead internal and client-facing presentations, meetings, and ideation sessions.
- Collaborate with leadership regularly to ensure we always have our best foot forward for clients. Deliver what we promise & then some.
- Conduct social listening to inform strategy.
- Step in as overflow writing support, when select organic social media content calendars need additional thinking, and/or doing.
- Support the President and/or Vice President on new business digital opportunities
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the digital team.
- Coach team of content writers and strategists to promote a cohesive execution of marketing across multiple digital channels/verticals, on behalf of a broad range of industries and client expectations.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in aforementioned areas described in key responsibilities.
- 2-3 references that can speak to your experience across organic, paid and other key digital channel strategies and execution.
- Social media content writing example(s) and why behind the specific messaging (goals/ROI)
- Advanced understanding of how users interact with digital media, as well as online and mobile user behavior.

- You have strong project management and organizational skills with hands-on experience coordinating across multiple projects to meet timelines.
