Every business has their secret sauce. Ours is the invaluable Shay Onorio, our President (also a Red Head!) who is often accused by our clients of being a mind reader. It is Shay and Jen’s mutual respect and love of what they do that led them to partner up, allowing our Chiefs to collaborate and capitalize on each other’s unique skill sets. As President of Red Thinking, Shay heads up operations, business development, and client services. She runs a tight ship and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Shay’s ability to maneuver the client services rodeo and guide overall business operations with her insightful instincts and acute business knowledge has enabled Shay to ensure Red Thinking delivers the unexpected; with the end-game goal of providing thought-provoking and effective strategy and creative for our clients.
Before joining forces at Red Thinking, Shay spent the better part of the past twenty years branding and re-branding organizations and communities. Her resume is jam packed with high-profile positions such as Director of Account Services for Williams Whittle in Alexandria, VA, Director of Marketing at Hawk’s Cay Resort & Marina in the Florida Keys and Vice President at Delucchi Plus, in Washington, D.C.
When she’s not mind reading or simply making us laugh, this New Jersey native and Radford University grad likes to get outside and have a good laugh with her husband Gary and their daughter Georgia.
Most irrational fear or silly quirk about me:
I cannot leave the house without knowing the toaster is unplugged.
Life is about balance. Be kind, but don’t let people abuse you. Trust, but don’t be deceived. Be content, but never stop improving yourself.
Favorite knock-knock joke:
Don’t cry, it’s just a joke.

Humor provides perspective. Don’t over think it.
What would your super-hero name be?
Captain Surprise: Brave; I like to think I have a unique set of tools to work with whatever situation I’m in and like to surprise everyone with wit, wisdom and my second language – sarcasm.
