Digital Marketing Specialist (Organic Social & Paid Digital)

Position Summary: 

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a key contributor to Red Thinking’s success, responsible for developing and executing paid and organic strategies across multiple platforms. You have proven experience with sourcing and creating compelling visuals, including photos and videos. Additionally, you’ll handle scheduling, monitoring engagement, and providing insight based on changes in metrics to refine ad targeting and overall strategy. 

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a deadline-focused, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional, eager to learn and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Working with our Director of Campaign Strategy and the Account Services, Digital, and Design teams, you will develop engaging, high-performing social media content that aligns with the client’s campaign strategy and exceeds clients’ expectations, upholding the high-quality standards associated with Red Thinking.  You take full ownership and responsibility for managing all aspects of digital campaigns, playing an integral part, and contributing to every stage–from content creation and design to execution, launch, post-launch assessment, and maintaining optimal performance. You consistently stay updated on digital marketing trends, platform updates, and best practices across various verticals. 

Reports To: Director of Campaign Management

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Develops and executes both Organic Social and Paid Digital campaign strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall goals
  • Content Creation: Crafts compelling, effective content for social media posts and paid ads that resonates with target audiences
  • Engagement & Optimization: Manages content scheduling, engages with audiences, and ensures optimization of campaigns across platforms
  • Analysis: Tracks performance metrics, analyzes results, and provides insights to refine and optimize strategies

Key Responsibilities/Duties (Includes but is not limited to…)

  • Collaborates with the Account Team and Director of Campaign Strategy to develop a customized strategy for digital media campaigns to achieve client goals.
  • Crafts compelling and strategic copy for both organic social media content and paid advertisements, tailoring tone and messaging to resonate with target audiences across various platforms. 
  • Develops a visual roadmap for social media posts and advertisements, ensuring they align with brand identity and campaign objectives. This includes selecting imagery and utilizing video editing skills to produce short-form content.  Also collaborates with designers to create high-quality visuals that meet platform specifications and audience preferences. 
  • Oversees daily social media activities, including engaging with audiences, responding to comments and messages, monitoring brand mentions, and fostering community interactions. 
  • Manages content scheduling and uploads across various platforms, ensuring posts align with brand guidelines, campaign strategies, and audience preferences. 
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for organic and paid initiatives on each platform, leveraging this data to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Serves as a trusted digital consultant on client calls, ensuring a deep understanding of client needs and results.

Required Skills and Experience 

  • 2–3 years of experience in social media strategy and content creation for an organization or agency.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience editing and adapting content based on target audience and platform requirements.
  • Proficiency in social media advertising platforms, including Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Pinterest Ads, and Microsoft Ads, etc.
  • Ability to generate reports and provide insights on campaign performance using tools like Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics, etc.
  • Strong ability to convey complex concepts in clear, concise language.
  • Ability to analyze insights and adjust strategies to enhance engagement and growth.
  • Experience collaborating with design teams to develop campaign assets, including layout and content direction.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate seamlessly across cross-functional teams.

Nice To Have

  • Experience managing and optimizing paid digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Understanding of keyword bidding, bid adjustments, and budget optimization for paid search campaigns.
  • Knowledge of conversion tracking, UTM creation, pixel installation, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Familiarity with Google and Meta verification processes.
  • Experience with A/B testing to optimize ad copy, creative, and overall messaging.
  • Ability to recommend targeting for a campaign and strategies to reach the most relevant customers, including lookalike audiences, behavioral targeting, and remarketing.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive keyword research to inform paid search campaigns and ensure optimal targeting and relevance.
  • Understanding of the importance of optimizing client websites for user experience and conversion, creating a seamless customer journey from ad engagement to on-site action.
