The Davey Awards is an international competition honoring outstanding creative work from the best small marketing firms from across the world. The 15th Annual Davey Awards received nearly 3,000 entries from ad agencies, digital agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design studios and public relations agencies.
Red Thinking was proud to be awarded three Daveys of our own in this year’s competition!
- Social Features – Best Use of Photography and Graphics – Red Thinking Social Media – Silver Award
- Corporate Identity – Best Logos for Design/Print – Lost Boy Cider – Silver Award
- Corporate Identity – Best Package Design for Design/Print – Lost Boy Cider Cans– Silver Award
Lost Boy Cider is a unique & creative client for sure! This start-up hard cidery in Alexandria, VA quickly educated Red Thinking on how cider is alluring – a fascinating world with endless combinations of flavor profiles and blends. It is everything fun, witty, boisterous, sophisticated, pleasant, lively, entertaining, and merry. And for that reason, their branding needed to be all of the above. We’re thrilled with the recognition.
A win for our own social media initiatives! The Best Use of Photography and Graphics award is based on the judges evaluating how we use graphics and photos on social media.
Just as important as knocking it out of the park for our clients, we understand that it’s just as important to market ourselves and our brand. We are honored to have won this since it’s a brand we’re especially proud of as it’s our own. It’s especially gratifying when those industry colleagues are truly your peers – small and mid-sized agencies.
About the Davey Awards
David defeated the mighty Goliath with a big idea and a little rock. That is the sort of thing small agencies do every day. The Davey Awards honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids,” whose strength comes from well-aimed ideas, intelligence and out-of-the-box thinking, not a giant’s bankroll.
The Davey is judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA). The AIVA is an invitation-only member-based organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Current membership includes Condé Nast, Disney, GE, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Sesame Workshops (PBS), Microsoft, Tinder and MTV. Visit www.aiva.org for more information.
